About the project

Having established a strong reputation for handmade and luxury home decor in London and across the UK, the brand had stalling monthly sales via Amazon Seller and Amazon Handmade. Acorn-i were brought on board to help navigate the complexities of selling to consumers via Amazon, deliver strong sales growth and reach new-to-brand audiences.

Retail Readiness

The Acorn-i team of Amazon experts took a deep dive into the selling partner to evaluate current status against key Amazon retail success factors. Retail readiness is a critical hygiene factor to drive organic category ranking, increase consideration and convert shoppers to purchase. We developed a strong understanding of the brand’s values and culture, ensuring these are reflected on Amazon.

Content Development

Properly curated Detail Pages increase organic search results ranking meaning more shoppers will find and browse your products. Consideration to purchase rates also increase by more than 11%. We implemented tried and tested optimisation strategies to all ASINs.

To ensure the brand’s luxury positioning came across on Amazon we developed A+ content and a Brand Store. Enhanced content provides an opportunity for brands to stand out and create unique environments on Amazon. The store has also become a shopping destination and is delivering 10% of channel revenues.

Advertising & Promotions

Driving traffic to Detail Pages and increasing purchases engages the Amazon algorithm and ‘flywheel’. Amazon Advertising combined with Promotions strategy ensures the most effective return on investment and maximises engagement with in-market shoppers.

  • Delivering strong growth while working to a 20% ACoS by end of month 3.
  • Total Advertising Contribution of Sales (TACOS) tracking to 15%.
  • Combing Keyword, Product, Category targeted Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands to ‘own’ in-market shopper search results.
  • Established the products in top-3 most clicked and purchased items for shoppers searching for related keywords.
The Results
  • Acorn-i started to work with the brand mid-July and generated an immediate uplift in sales.
  • Monthly Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS) increased ten-fold in just three months.
  • Customers buying multiple products has increased by 329%.
  • More New-to-Brand customers delivered in 3 months vs previous 12 months combined.
  • YoY sales are up more than 1,000% comparing Oct-Nov 2019 vs Oct-Nov 2020.
